The burden of children and teen obesity continues to rise and this raises significant public health concerns globally. According to the World Health Organization, about 41 million children aged below 5 years are overweight. The incidence rate for childhood obesity increased drastically by 18% between 1975 and 2016 (Skinner AC et al., 2018). The changes in the lifestyle patterns characterized by reduced mobility and poor dietary intake contribute to the high burden of the disease (Skinner AC et al., 2018).

The high incidence of childhood obesity increases the risk of premature deaths. Also, people with obesity are likely to develop other health complications including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and even depression. Children with obesity are also vulnerable to cyberbullying in schools and this exposes them to mental and psychological health issues (Çakmur, 2017). The burden of suicidal ideation among school-going children is worrying and needs to be addressed. Therefore, the childhood obesity issue has various health implications for the public and health departments.

The collaboration in the healthcare sector brings the synergistic impact needed for addressing healthcare issues. Addressing childhood obesity requires input from different players in the healthcare sector. The first stakeholders involved in fighting the health issue are the nurses who provide a treatment plan for the health issues arising among children with obesity (Kauh et al., 2018). Secondly, the nutritionist offers education on the right nutritional requirement for the targeted group. Besides, the health counselors offer relevant mental education to the children and their parents and encourage them to adopt the recommended behavioral changes that will promote their wellbeing. The collaborative effort will ensure that all the needs of children with obesity are addressed adequately and promote better health outcomes.

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
